Kavaludaari

Kavaludaari - Wikipedia
kavaludaari

After a long time, I watched a good Kannada movie. The movie is about a traffic cop, who aspires to become a crime branch cop.

The movie is very realistic with no over the top fight sequences. No romantic songs or a screenplay that forces an interval. The second could have been better, but I am not complaining.

If you have not watched it, I would recommend this.

Virus and Aftermath

I watched two movies last week, which are related to the spread of corona like virus.

The first one is Contagion. The movie starts with a Chicago lady, returning from an Asian country. She dies the next day due to a virus.

Hats off to the director who could imagine the aftermath, if the virus is deadly. He directed the movie in 2011. And we are witnessing similar events today.

I saw a similar Malayalam movie called Virus. This released in 2019. I personally liked this better over Contagion.

Platform : Amazon Prime
Audience : Can be watched with the family to understand how a virus can spread ?

Shadow

I loved watching Chinese movies with extraordinary stunts. Miss watching Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan on screen. After a long time, I got to watch a movie with martial arts or traditional fighting techniques.

Platform - Netflix
Audience - Strictly Adult

Even though this is a recent movie, I loved, how they played with background colors [especially black].

This movie is directed by Zhang, who is around 70 years right now. He is known for his past action movies like "Hero", "House of Flying Daggers" etc.

This movie has lots of fights, twists, good emotion scenes, and excellent cinematography.

If you like Bahubali, there is a high chance that you might like this.

The Platform

I have decided to watch a movie a day to keep myself entertained, in these times of isolation. And yesterday, I watched this movie, THE PLATFORM on Netflix.

Platform - Netflix
Audience - Strictly adult only

The movie has that gripping narrative until the last scene. This movie stays with you for a few hours if not days, after you watch it.

Overall,  well spent 90 minutes.
